Background
The Next Gen BioSummit 2025, held in Bhubaneswar on 9 June, marked a historic milestone for the state of Odisha. With participation from 25 nationally and internationally recognized biotech experts, industry leaders, researchers, and policy advisors, the summit served as a launching pad for shaping Odisha’s biotechnology landscape and aligning it with India’s $300 billion bio economy vision for 2030
Objective
To chart a concrete roadmap that enables Odisha to emerge as a leading state in the Indian biotech sector by leveraging its academic institutions, industrial capabilities, natural resources, and talent pool, while building strong public-private partnerships.
